Sweet Discovery

Archivists discover A special treat Amongst the personal items of famed bush poet Banjo Paterson’s papers.

Never-before-opened tins of Cadbury UK chocolates were recently discovered amongst the papers and personal items of famed bush poet A.B. “Banjo” Paterson’s papers. Commissioned by Buckingham Palace, Queen Victoria herself gifted these delicacies to soldiers serving in the South African Boer War. While reading through the reported discovery, I was reminded of this quote by Peanuts creator, Charles M. Schulz:

Conservators at the National Library of Australia have unearthed one of the world's oldest boxes of chocolates, dating back 120 years to the time of the Boer...

All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.
